Anne Phillips is one of our Oboists in the WA Charity Orchestra and WA Wind Symphony. She is a classroom, instrumental and ensemble music teacher at five private schools around Perth where she mostly teaches flute and oboe. Anne studied a Bachelor of Music Education at the University of WA. She played flute all throughout high school at Churchlands and uni, until she became interested in oboe in her third year of study at university. Once she got her hands on an oboe, she never looked back. Her goals are to do a performance degree on oboe, be involved in stage management and to help WACO grow!
Anne’s hobbies include music (of course), making oboe reeds, reading mythology and fantasy stories and discovering new worlds through novels and horse riding. Anne is very passionate about musicals, dreams of going to New York and is in the building and planning stages of writing a book.
