We’re extremely proud to present the West Coast Philharmonic Chorus for Summer 2021!
Made up of over 60 individuals of all ages and backgrounds, this group of passionate and talented members of our community have been working for some weeks on the impressive task of bringing Rebecca Dale’s Materna Requiem to life, which they will perform alongside the West Coast Philharmonic Orchestra on the 20th February at the Perth Concert Hall.
Aged between 17 and 80-years-old, we have a truly wonderful and diverse group of music lovers. For some, this is their first time singing in a group, however by the way rehearsals have been sounding you wouldn’t know it! We love the strength of community spirit this ensemble has and how it can bring together semi-professionals and amateur musicians alike, in an environment where everyone can enjoy learning challenging and rewarding repertoire.
The Chorus will be joined by special guest artists, Katja Webb (Soprano), Perry Joyce (Tenor), Phoebe Tait (Young Soprano) and William Atkins-Walters (Treble) and the West Coast Philharmonic, bringing Dale’s Materna Requiem, Dolly Parton’s Light of a Clear Blue Morning and our Creative Music Director Samuel Parry’s own My River to life.
