Eliza is one of the NHarmonic Chorale sopranos and currently works as a freelance musician, performing and teaching both piano and harp. She started playing piano at the age of 4 years old, and began the harp at age 13. Eliza performs for weddings, private functions, recitals, and occasionally with orchestras. This year she also performed for the FRINGE festival with a guitarist and recorded and released an album of harp and guitar music.
Eliza completed a bachelor of Arts at UWA doing a double major in Music Studies and Music Specialist studies. She also spends a lot of time volunteering – apart from being a soprano in Nharmonic chorale, she is club president of the Rotary Club of Joondalup, and was vice-president of the Harp Society of WA Inc. for 2 years. These opportunities have developed an interest in governance and community development which have led Eliza studying a diploma of Business (Governance) and a diploma of International & Community development.
In the future, Eliza is hoping to work in the field of community development and perhaps see how music can help strengthen and bond communities together.
