Meet our new Ensemble Coordinator, Shanae Campbell!
After receiving so many wonderful applications from our music-loving community, the team at WACO were thrilled to have Shanae join us last month in our new Ensemble Coordinator position.
Shanae joins the team to assist our Music Director with all administrative aspects of running our ensembles; from rehearsal scheduling, to filling in last-minute roster changes, to music printing and much, much more!
Shanae has a background in classical music and composition, but it was her love for singing that encouraged her to study vocals at WAAPA, and gained her a Bachelor of Music (Hons) in Contemporary Vocal Performance. Shanae has been a performer in many WACO concerts, and has also been a part of the WACO Committee. She is excited to now be behind the scenes working alongside the committee, all our wonderful members and helping to bring many WACO performances to life.
Shanae has enjoyed working on exciting projects with other organisations such as the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia, and was a member of the Student Representative Committee and the Vice-Chancellor’s Student Advisory Forum during her studies.
Fun fact: Shanae also played a part in helping to workshop and design the new ECU City Campus!
When she is not performing, or working, she is most likely re-watching ‘Gilmore Girls’, or Disney’s ‘Hercules’, for the 100th time. If you quote either of these to her, you are sure to get in her good books.
Shanae has told us she is thrilled to be joining the WACO team (we believe her!) and has already made a huge impact to the productivity of our team.
Welcome Shanae!
